Michael J. Laudini

A studio practice

Behind Voluptuary Media

Voluptuary Media is the studio practice of Michael J. Laudini, a Los Angeles–based boudoir and fine art nude photographer with over thirty years of experience working with live models.

Michael holds a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in photography from Loyola University Chicago. His work has appeared in Playboy, Boudoir Inspiration, Vigour, and Marika, and his photographs have helped launch women into careers including America's Next Top Model. He is the published author of Hapa Moods, a fine art coffee table book celebrating women of mixed ethnic heritage, and Infinite Prisms (2026) — a digital-only photo book and technical guide exploring intentional light refraction in boudoir portraiture.

What sets the work apart is a refusal to flatten the room. Michael prides himself on working within a space's natural elements — leveraging existing light, found accessories, and spatial features to create boudoir images that could only have happened there, with that subject, on that day. He works with clients of every experience level but specializes in guiding first-time and inexperienced models through the process with patience and structure.

Sessions are by appointment only and are conducted with strict discretion and professionalism. Every shoot is built around the client's goals — whether that's a personal portrait gift, a portfolio start, or fine art collaboration.

When he's not on location or in the studio, you'll find Michael with his two daughters walking their 90-pound Golden Doodle, Charlie.
